Services

  • Young creatives learn to see the world through a camera lens for the very first time. Through fun, hands-on activities, kids discover colors, shapes, and storytelling while building confidence and creative expression. Guided by the same diverse characters they'll find in our coloring books, this class turns curiosity into art — no experience needed, just imagination. Perfect for budding artists ready to capture their very first shot.

  • Ready to go beyond the basics? Focus Lab teaches real photography skills such as composition, lighting, editing, and digital literacy — through project-based lessons that keep kids engaged and inspired. Students build their creative voice while learning how photography connects to social media, storytelling, and the digital world around them. More than a camera class, Focus Lab is a space where kids express themselves, gain confidence, and develop skills they'll carry for life. All skill levels welcome.

  • You've got the eye — now build the brand. The Business of the Lens is where teen photographers turn their passion into a real pathway. Students dive into entrepreneurship, financial literacy, portfolio development, and professional client skills. Through advanced coursework, mentorship, and hands-on internship opportunities with local photography studios and media organizations, teens leave this program not just with stronger images — but with a plan to get paid for them. This is where creatives become professionals.

  • At City Academy, we offer over 65 different programs for students to choose each year. Finding quality programs is a MUST in such an important and demanding time during the day. We found just that in Creatives Of Tomorrow! Our strict 'no running in the halls' rule needed to be doubly reinforced when Mena's program began because the girls just couldn't wait to see her each week. As coordinator of the after school programs, I felt comfortable leaving my students with Mena as she had great classroom management and understood each student on a personal level.

  • I was part of the Teen Boss class in the winter of 2017. I took the class as an enrichment class for school. The experience I had was life-altering in a great way. While being involved with Creatives Of Tomorrow, I learned about the steps to run a successful business. During the class, Ms. Moorehead Mena assigned us a project to come up with our own business and make products for the business. I decided to make bath bombs and bath salts for a business that my sisters and I had already established Purely Pampered Cosmetics. Throughout my journey of taking the class, I learned the important steps on how to be a successful entrepreneur. The takeaways that I gained from this experience were that I learned how small businesses function and how the planning process plays a vital role in success.
